FlyMX is a record-keeping and informational tool. It is not an FAA-approved system, does not replace professional aviation maintenance advice, and should not be the sole basis for any airworthiness or operational decision.
FlyMX aggregates data from multiple sources including user input, the FAA Aircraft Registry, FlightAware AeroAPI, OpenSky Network, and AeroDataBox. While we strive to present accurate information, data may contain errors, omissions, or delays. Flight times, routes, and positions are approximate and may differ from official records.
Aircraft owners and operators are solely responsible for maintaining accurate records as required by 14 CFR Part 91 and other applicable regulations. FlyMX data should be cross-referenced with official logbooks, maintenance records, and FAA documentation.
The AD Checker is an AI-powered informational tool. It is NOT an official FAA source and should NEVER be used as the sole method for determining AD compliance.
The Airworthiness Directive (AD) Checker feature uses artificial intelligence to analyze aircraft type, engine model, and propeller information to suggest potentially applicable ADs. This feature has inherent limitations:
Always verify AD applicability through the FAA Regulatory and Guidance Library and consult with your A&P mechanic or IA (Inspection Authorization) holder for definitive AD compliance determinations.
Engine health scores, oil analysis trend interpretations, and maintenance recommendations provided by FlyMX are generated using statistical models and AI analysis. These are informational tools to supplement — not replace — the professional judgment of your A&P mechanic. Engine condition monitoring requires hands-on inspection, borescope examination, compression testing, and other physical assessments that cannot be performed through software alone.
Compliance countdown alerts (annual inspection, insurance expiry, pitot-static, transponder, altimeter, ELT) are calculated based on dates you enter into the system. FlyMX does not independently verify these dates. It is your responsibility to ensure that all compliance dates are accurate and that inspections are completed by qualified personnel before expiration. FlyMX compliance alerts are reminders, not regulatory determinations.
Service providers listed on the FlyMX Marketplace are independent businesses. FlyMX does not employ, endorse, certify, or guarantee any service provider. While we offer a review verification system that cross-references reviews against maintenance logs, this does not constitute an endorsement of the provider's work quality or regulatory compliance.
Pilots are responsible for verifying that any shop or mechanic they engage holds the appropriate FAA certificates (Repair Station Certificate, A&P Certificate, IA Authorization) for the work being performed. Pricing, turnaround times, and service descriptions are provided by the shops themselves and are not verified by FlyMX.
Insurance provider listings, coverage recommendations, and expiry alerts on FlyMX are for informational purposes only. FlyMX is not a licensed insurance broker, agent, or advisor in any jurisdiction. Information presented about insurance products may not reflect current availability, pricing, or terms.
Any insurance-related content should not be construed as insurance advice. You should consult with a licensed aviation insurance broker to evaluate your specific coverage needs, compare policies, and make informed decisions. Insurance partner listings may involve paid advertising relationships.
The FlyMX Marketplace includes paid advertising tiers for service providers. Providers on paid plans (Basic, Featured, Premium) may receive enhanced visibility, priority placement, and additional features compared to free listings. The presence of a "Featured" or "Premium" badge indicates a paid advertising relationship, not an endorsement by FlyMX.
Insurance partner listings may involve sponsored content or lead generation fees. We clearly label sponsored content where applicable. Review ratings and user-generated content are not influenced by advertising relationships.
The Pre-Buy Checklist Generator creates inspection checklists based on aircraft data stored in FlyMX. These checklists are starting points for pre-purchase inspections and do not constitute a complete or authoritative inspection protocol. A thorough pre-buy inspection should be performed by a qualified A&P mechanic or IA of your choosing, following industry best practices and manufacturer-recommended procedures.
Weather information displayed in FlyMX (including METAR data) is sourced from third-party providers and may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. Weather data on FlyMX must not be used for flight planning or operational decisions. Always obtain weather briefings from official sources such as 1800WxBrief or aviationweather.gov.
